What could improve your country’s economic power?

Nine times out ten people think selfishly instead of thinking about how to help society. Everybody has been educated to stock up on wealth because they think, “you never know when you might need it”. Thus, selfishness and fear of the future are at the root of every problem in the world. Therefore, I am of the opinion that there is enough wealth in my country and in the world as well. Consequently, there is no need for land to be developed for housing and industrial purposes. In fact, we are not going to find out  the answer to this problem by looking out there but rather by looking inside ourselves and practicing meditation.  Meditation will show you that you are just pure consciousness and you are not different from  others. By understanding it for real, you are going to take what you need for this moment and leave the rest for your fellow human being. In summary, to make the long story short, every idea will solve the problem partially because shortly afterwards, selfish people will create a new problem. Then, it is time for meditation, especially for business leaders, because they have a big influence on their country’s economic power, and, thank God, companies are increasingly beginning to introduce meditation techniques which lead to better results for them as well....

Mindfulness or meditation in action

Humans are unhappy because we spend our time and energy thinking about things that don´t exist- the past and the future.  Someone said once that the past is a place, not a time. And the same applies for the future. Thinking about the past leads to anger, regret, sadness and grief. Thinking about the future causes stress anxiety, worry and fear. And neither of them exists. The irony ot this situation is that life, which is happening now, is filled with peace, quit and contentment.  Every experience appears and pass away, for this reason, you have to accept the reality as it is, not as you would like it to be. In a nutshell, just be in the present moment. All you have to do is develop the ability to stay in the present, wherever you are and whatever you are doing.  This is what we can call, minfulness or meditation in action.  The problem is that it seems easy to do, but it is not easy at all. For thousands of years our culture has tried to prevent the risks of the future as well as to blame us for a horrible past. As a result, we got into the habit of not being in the present moment. In my private consultations and in the meditation retreats that I lead as well, I teach how the mind works and how we can allow the state of meditation or mindfulness appears by going through all barriers. Thanks. P.S. All your thoughts and opinions are wellcome. Just let me know it by writing your comments...

Mindfulness for every day

Everything appear and pass away, for this reason, you have to accept the reality as it is, not as you would like it to be.  But we don´t like the reality as it is, and  becasuse of that, we prefer to invent an inexisting and paralel reality according with our preferences and desires. This is the reason because we are always thinking in the past and the future. Sometimes I had been so lost in my own thought that I hadn´t noticed the songs of birds when I was walking in the countryside or worst when someone come to me to stand beside me. The thing about life is that people suffer but we don´t need to. Surffering is no ejoying pleasure or pleasure we want to keep it by remenbering it in our mind. And the only way of assuaging the suffering of being alive is to focus our attention in the present moment, were the life occurs. Thinking about the past leads to regret. Thinking about the future causes stress and fear. We need to take our mind´s fear off as soon as the firs signs appear by focusing our mind in the present moment. Call it meditation in the action, mindfulness or whatever you prefer to call it, but it is about to turning your attention outward where the life happens instead of being lost in your thoughts. On the other hand, meditation or mindfulness is also turning you attention inward to your thoughts and emotions, when we close our sense to go inside in a quiet and isolated place, monitoring them as tangible and sensory events. consequentially, we have to types of mindfulness, the outside and the inside. In the outside we need to give priority to the life when our sense are working and on the contrary, we need to notice the inside objects and watching them we will realize how they disapear because they are not...

The Sense of “I am”.

The Sense of "I am". Extract from the book I am That, Chapter 1: The Sense of "I am", of Nisargadatta Maharaj. M.: The sense of being, of 'I am' is the first to emerge. Ask yourself whence it comes, or just watch it quietly. When the mind stays in the 'I am' without moving, you enter a state which cannot be verbalised but can be experienced. All you need to do is try and try again. After all the sense ‘I am’ is always with you, only you have attached all kinds of things to it — body, feelings, thoughts, ideas, possessions etc. All these self-identifications are misleading. Because of them you take yourself to be what you are not. M.: All you can say is: ‘I am not this, I am not that’. You cannot meaningfully say ‘this is what I am’. It just makes no sense. What you can point out as 'this' or 'that' cannot be yourself. Surely, you can not be 'something' else. You are nothing perceivable, or imaginable. Yet, without you there can be neither perception nor imagination. You observe the heart feeling, the mind thinking, the body acting;  the very act of perceiving shows that you are not what you perceive. Can there be perception, experience without you? (…) Q: How do I get at it? M: You need not get at it, for you are it. It will get at you, if you give it a chance. Let go your attachment to the unreal and the real will swiftly and smoothly step into its own. Stop imagining yourself being or doing this or that and the realisation that you are the source and heart of all will dawn upon you. With this will come great love which is not choice or predilection, nor attachment, but a power which makes all things love-worthy and lovable.                     ...
