We wake up early in order to contemplate the dawn on the beach of Cullera (Valencia). Beauty touches us all and keeps us trapped in contemplation. Mindfulness or meditation in action

Humans are unhappy because we spend our time and energy thinking about things that don´t exist- the past and the future.  Someone said once that the past is a place, not a time. And the same applies for the future. Thinking about the past leads to anger, regret, sadness and grief. Thinking about the future causes stress anxiety, worry and fear. And neither of them exists. The irony ot this situation is that life, which is happening now, is filled with peace, quit and contentment.  Every experience appears and pass away, for this reason, you have to accept the reality as it is, not as you would like it to be. In a nutshell, just be in the present moment. All you have to do is develop the ability to stay in the present, wherever you are and whatever you are doing.  This is what we can call, minfulness or meditation in action.  The problem is that it seems easy to do, but it is not easy at all. For thousands of years our culture has tried to prevent the risks of the future as well as to blame us for a horrible past. As a result, we got into the habit of not being in the present moment. In my private consultations and in the meditation retreats that I lead as well, I teach how the mind works and how we can allow the state of meditation or mindfulness appears by going through all barriers.
